【あなたの特技、活かしてください】2025年インターン受け入れ報告 Internship Report

アクト・ノードで働いた経験は、あらゆる意味で非常に実り多いものでした。職場環境はとてもプロフェッショナルで、継続的な学びを強く重視していました。
Working at ActNode was a very enriching experience in every sense. The environment was highly professional and strongly focused on continuous learning.

仕事だけでなく、日本の文化や美しい風景、多様な食文化にも触れることができ、プロフェッショナルとしても、個人としても非常に充実した経験になりました。
Alongside work, I was also able to explore Japan’s culture, scenic locations, and its diverse cuisine, making the overall experience rewarding both professionally and personally.

2人とも日本が好きだと言ってくれて、すごく美味しそうに日本食を食べてくれて、嬉しかったです〜
They both said they love Japan and enjoyed the Japanese food so much, it made me so happy!

インターン生にも、面談時に「興味があること」「したいこと」「できること」を聞きます。一緒に働いてくれる方の意思や特性を理解したうえで、それにあったお仕事をしてもらうよう心がけています。特技を活かして働いてもらうのが、一番活躍できますからね。
During interviews with interns, I asked about their interests, what they want to do, and what they can do. By understanding the intentions and individual strengths of those who work with us, we strive to assign tasks that are well suited to each person. After all, people perform best when they can make use of their unique skills.

ブロイラーの体重推定AIの改善を行いました。実際の養鶏場では、鶏が高密度に集まり、重なり合う場面が日常的に発生します。そうした現場特有の条件下では、理論上うまく動くAIモデルでも、十分な性能が出ないことがあります。生産現場の制約を前提に、物体検出・セグメンテーション手法を見直し、実環境でも安定して動作するAIシステムへと改良する取り組みを行いました。
We worked on improving the chicken weight estimation AI. In poultry farms, chickens are often kept at high densities, and overlapping individuals are a common occurrence. Under these site-specific conditions, AI models that perform well in theory may not achieve sufficient performance in practice. Taking the constraints of the production environment into account, we reviewed and improved the object detection and segmentation methods to develop an AI system that operates stably in real-world farm conditions.

カメラ映像を用いた非接触型の風速推定AIの開発も行いました。物理センサーを設置せず、映像とAIを組み合わせて風の強さを数値化できないかというテーマに取り組みました。深層学習による画像理解と、色の動きを解析する手法を組み合わせ、実測用の風速計と比較しながら、現場で使える精度かどうかを検証しました。
We also evaluated a non-contact wind speed estimation method using camera footage. This work explored whether wind strength could be quantified by combining video data with AI, without installing physical sensors. By integrating deep learning–based image understanding with techniques that analyze color motion, we validated the approach by comparing the results with measurements from a reference anemometer, assessing whether the accuracy was sufficient for practical use in real-world environments.

机上でイメージしたものが、現場ではうまくいかないことが多くあります。現場のニーズと制約条件を理解して、工夫しなくてはいけません。現場の理解は、役にたつ技術にするために必要なことです。
What we imagine at the desk often does not work as expected in real production settings. To make it work, we must understand the needs of the production site as well as its constraints, and adapt our approach accordingly. Understanding the production environment is essential for turning technology into something truly useful.

この経験で特に価値があったのは、技術的なアイデアを、誰にでも分かる形に落とし込む力を学べたことです。誰が読んでも理解できる、分かりやすいドキュメント作成にも取り組み、開発しているシステムをすべての関係者が理解できるように工夫しました。技術を分かりやすく伝える力だけでなく、相手が何を求めているのかを正確に理解し、それを明確に伝えることの大切さも学びました。
One of the most valuable parts of this experience was learning how to translate technical ideas into something understandable for everyone. We worked on documentation that was clear and easy to follow, which helped ensure that all stakeholders could understand the systems being developed.
It was a great learning experience, not only in terms of translating technical ideas, but also in clearly understanding and conveying what was being requested.

生産者の方々と直接関わることで、実際の作業フローや運用上の制約を明確に理解することができました。その結果、理論的な設計にとどまらず、現場で本当に使える、実用的でニーズに即したAIシステムを開発することができたと感じています。
Interacting with producers helped me clearly understand real operational constraints and agricultural workflows. This ensured that the AI systems we developed were practical, usable, and aligned with real needs rather than purely theoretical designs.

実際のユーザーや他の技術者とコミュニケーションしたり、いろんなブースでさまざまな技術を見たり、情報交換の場所として参加してもらいました。

They participated as a place for information exchange—communicating directly with actual users and other engineers, and exploring a wide range of technologies across various booths.

この2か月間で、私は専門的な面だけでなく、人としても大きく成長できたと感じています。新しい文化や職場環境に身を置いたことで、良い意味で自分のコンフォートゾーンから一歩踏み出すことができました。多くのことを学び、自分のスキルに対する自信も深まり、実際のプロジェクトがどのように進められているのかを、現場で理解することができました。
During these two months, I was able to grow a lot not only as a professional, but also as a person. Being immersed in a new culture and work environment pushed me out of my comfort zone in a positive way. I learned a great deal, gained more confidence in my skills, and developed a deeper understanding of how real-world projects are handled in a professional setting.

アクト・ノードでの業務はとても前向きで良い経験でした。職場環境はオープンで、自由に意見を出し合える雰囲気があり、自分のアイデアをしっかりと形にして貢献できました。言語の違いはありましたが、チーム内のコミュニケーションはスムーズで、協力体制もしっかり整っており、安心して仕事に取り組むことができました。
Working at ActNode was a very positive experience. The environment was encouraging and open, allowing us to express ideas freely and contribute meaningfully. Despite language differences, communication within the team was smooth and effective, and collaboration was always well supported.
